In mid-2025, a fuel-retail network in Cambodia made a deliberately narrow first purchase from DAE (Digital Assistant for Energy): Retail POS for its stations and Central Management for its head office. No grand transformation program — just modern tills and one live picture of the network.
Twelve months later, that decision had quietly compounded. The platform now runs across 40 stations, and the network has switched on three more modules — each one live in four to eight weeks, on infrastructure it already owned:
- Payment Gateway — QR-code payment now accepted at the point of sale
- Loyalty & Promotion — campaigns configured centrally and pushed to every station
- Mobile App — and this is the distinctive one: the app isn’t for head office alone. Station dealers — the owners of the pumps — and the network’s territory managers use it to watch real-time sales, wet stock, and daily reconciliation from their phones. The people who own the sites see the same live picture the head office sees.
No module required a new integration project, a new vendor evaluation, or a new data migration. The platform was already there; each capability was switched on inside it.
What comes next
The network is now preparing its next two moves on the same foundation: a consumer loyalty app for retail customers and a fleet app for commercial customers.
The first module is a procurement decision. Every module after that is a configuration decision. Buy only what you need; add the rest when you're ready.
